This bug has caused many people to be late to work and other places that they needed to be. You should always set a back up alarm just in case.
According to MacRumors.Com “apparently a bug in the iPhone clock app prevents non-recurring alarms from properly triggering on New Years day.” According to 9to5mac, this alarm bug will fix itself on 3rd January 2011. According to Engadget, It is one time alarms that are causing the problem, not repeats.
You will be able to fix this bug by following this steps :
* First you have to tap clock.
* Then you have to tap Edit.
* Now you have to tap your alarm.
* Now you have to tap Repeat.
* Now you have to set a repeat interval.
* Now tap save.
Apple saying that they will have this problem fixed by January 3, 2011. If they had a fix, why not just roll it out now? Why not fix it so that this problem never happened in the first place?
Once they get this fixed, everyone will need to update their phones to get it working again. Hopefully they can come up with a solution by January 3, 2011 as promised. In the meantime, make sure you set a regular alarm so you don’t miss work on Monday morning.
