>Sony announces latest Alpha series compact DSLRs NEX-5 and NEX-3 Reviews

We briefly touched on Sony’s latest developments in the ultra compact DSLR field back in February and it was then that we learnt the direction in which Sony would soon be expanding their Alpha series DSLRs. Officially announced yesterday were the NEX-5 and NEX-3, both of which will be new additions to Sony’s DSLR lineup, available from this summer.

Not only do the two cameras not compromise the ability to have interchangeable lens, they are both compact and much lighter in weight than conventional bulky DSLRs, both NEX-3 and NEX-5 boast a new Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with a resolution of 14.2 effective megapixels. If you fancy HD video recording like myself, you would probably be more interested in the bigger brother of the two, the NEX-5.
